been a looong time

Haven't been around in quite some time.

I'm in the bay area now, what's new around here?

Car was in storage for a while, now it's in my garage and just got a bath last week:

Will probably be doing some new stuff with it since I won't be riding much during the wet season.

Vista? No.

Car needs finishing, interior still has alot of loose ends, would like to replace some of the body panels with stock looking fgrp or cf.

e6k is cool once you can tune it from linux

Industry pays well, and in bay area as well as LA there are plenty of jobs. Though right now the economy is fucked up enough to be felt in the startups around silicon valley, plenty of places have lost their funding.

Dust, and new rust on the bottom. I might pick up a clean cali s4 body and swap everything over. It has some cheap kei-office coilovers now, and obviously the wheels which are wearing bfg kd 225 out back 205 in front (225 rubbed the coilover in front ). Just been sitting in storage most this time so not a whole lot is changed. Gutted dash in there, some thin black carpet... Progress really stopped on the FC once I got the R1, it's just too fast and cheap to operate, no speeding tickets... What's new with you? Still doing the shop? Going well?

REN5LOW:
The wheels are Kosei k1 16x7.5 I think they are discontinued, they run them on the spec miatas I think?

Speaking of Miatas I picked up a black stock 1.8l 5 speed upon arrival in CA, I'm somewhat tempted to swap my rx7 drivetrain into it because it's so damn light. It's a bit too limp wristed though, so probably won't happen.

need RX7:
I have more pics, it's not really that clean. I had just washed it and photographed the good side
The paint is faded, the trim has fallen off the door on one side, there are small dents all over the thing from being in the garage so long with other projects going on around it... it's an IL car so it has some rust on the bottom.

I've found the best thing with the RX7 is you just have to clean the glass to make em look half decent, especially if it's tinted. That tinted rear hatch makes *** shots look good.

cmanns:
Heh yeah, I reverse engineered the haltech e6k serial communicatoins and wrote some software that runs on linux to tune and monitor with. I have some old movies from testing the software:

0-70ish run with the map editing in view with wideband o2 visible @ bottom of screen:
