Using a spark plug in the exhaust, no doubt.

eh I "did" have one in my exhaust. Doing that really killed my spark plugs.

I used the setting on the aux port on my microtech and a spark plug in my exhaust tip that was drilled with air holes. I controled it via a switch.

You dont get any mpg parked hypertech

"I didn't know the car did that officer." becomes your new most used phrase.

I believe that those flames are actually termed "after fire", and that "back fire" is actually ignition of the fuel/air in the intake manifold...

Correct me if I am wrong though.

Don't even try man... Some people have tried, but it makes no difference. Most people on the forum asume that since the flames pop at the back it's called backfire.

Backfire is always on the intake side of the engine!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Back-fire

How you wanna call unburned mixture exploding in you exhaust doesn't matter since it's generaly accpeted as not being harmful. However turbo's don't like being bombarded with explosions in your exhaust-manifold, even though ALS is used on this principle.

The term after-fire sounds OK, could also cal it pops or poofs...

Riz.

I always find it hilarious when people try to prove points by using wikapedia

hehe. yeah...

I don't have to prove it. Like I said: It's no use, people will keep confusing the two. And who cares? If you know what people mean it shouldn't be a problem.

The reason I linked to Wiki is because someone who wrote the definition on there clearly knows what back-fire means, and I completely agree with him. This way I didn't have to write an elaberate (sp?) explanation of the phenomenon, which is already written and displayed on the internet. The second reason is me being Dutch, so English isn't my strongest point, especialy when it gets a bit technical.

Sorry for using Wiki, I'll never do it again... HaHa!

Yeah, his username on here is MichaelB.... somethin somethin... I think its numbers.

But I saw that video many times, and only found out it was mike b a couple months ago! I thought that was pretty funny! It was like this other video I had saved to my favorites of this skier. I mean he was badass! Doin 1440's and droppin of 80ft+ cliffs doing flips and ****! Come to find out it was one of my really good friends in high school, Dusty Diller. He found it hilarious when I told him! Although he stopped doing pro events and huge cliffs do to knee problems. Which is unfortunate, cause he was heading towards being one of the greatest. I always knew it too, cause he was always perfect at everything he tried... bastard! Although he was really chill.... anyways, sorry to go completely off topic. But more pics!!!!
