The babydoll :p
Hey guys,
I'm sort of new to the forums (I've been lurking/stalking/researching here for the past 3 years, but don't have many posts). Well, anyway, I picked her up yesterday, 87 Turbo -- transported via autocarrier from MN to MA :p. Just wanted to introduce myself quickly, I hope to become a regular on the forums not to mention I will probably have many questions as time goes on (actually lets hope not haha).
I only managed to take a few pictures before night fell today. Hope you guys enjoy.
Oh, and best for last, the car has under 17,000 original miles

Here are some of the pictures I received from the seller pre-purchase:
Engine bay:
The wing, since somebody mentioned it:
(It does seem to be somewhat rare, I do like that it matches the stock look rather nicely.)
Some of the questions are a bit hard to answer without giving some background information on the purchase. The original owner, ~90 years old passed away recently and willed the car to his son, now in his 60's, a very nice man. I am truly indebted to both men for such a beauty.
R3N, I was also rather concerned about the car running 16psi, but the man who sold me the car assured me that it was tuned by experts. The seller did not have any of the tuning documentation or information about supporting mods. From what I can tell, the original owner kept the car in immaculate condition and I highly doubt he would tune it in a manner that would cause damage. I do have the number for the place that did the tuning, and I plan to give them a call once I begin to drive the car daily to see what actions I may need to take as far as lowering boost. As far as feel goes, the turbo is extremely quite (aside from a power surge it is nearly inaudible), the power band is very smooth, and the car pulls strong.
As for price...well honestly, like the Visa commercials, I'd say it's priceless. The car literally still has that new car smell. The car is in collectors condition I would say, so I did end up paying premium--definitely not a steal. I paid $9,500 for the car, not including shipping. I've let quite a few nice fc's (not quite as nice as this one : ) pass me by, and each time I regretted it. The second I saw the ad for this one, I knew it wouldn't last long, and jumped on it. I just graduated from college, and this is sort of a graduation present I bought myself. I've only had her for two days, but I'd definitely say this is the best investment I've ever made. I do plan on keeping her indefinitely, and have her running for as long as that is.
Cheers.

Wow, clean. If that mileage is legit, that's even crazier. Hell, the 20,000 mile thingy in the instrument cluster hasn't even burnt out yet. I wouldn't modify this particular car, but then again I probably couldn't bring myself to roll the odometer past 20K either. Nice find though.

I think you're right (The car has Racing Beat stickers on it, the exhaust, and a Racing Beat boost gauge, so it would make sense).
Thanks for all the warm comments guys, and sorry for not updating with new pictures, really bad weather here in Boston. It's been raining just about every single day since my last post. Once the rain clears up I will take pictures of the gorgeous interior.
