another time attack FC breaking necks

Just this past Sunday was the Attack 2013 Tsukuba Championship on the infamous TC2000 circuit, an amateur time attack event. This privately own fc managed a 58'322sec, making it the second fastest time attack fc to run TC2000. This time is faster than the Pan Speed fc, RE A. fc, and R-magic fc. Super Now still hold the 56sec record. Very aggressive looking machine with a one off splitter and canards on a Amemiya face. TDC wide body and vented hood are complimented by the huge Freestyle gt wing. Ganador mirrors, Advan rs-d & Volk Racing re30 wrapped in sticky Advan A050.

Other rotary powered cars that deserves the spot light are these to entries. The blue fd is own by RE Amemiya's D1 mechanic Aoki-san. This is an amazing car, stock twinturbos clocking 56sec last year in December.
And this stunning brown fd by Car Shop Glow, which ran its quickest 57sec.

Sweet, some nice bits on that FC. Gee, I wonder how much it would cost to ship my FC over to Japan. Haha. Thanks for the pics and video.

The FC looks menacing. Its so impressive how a car as old as these are still competitive platforms.

Out of all the late 80's Japanese sports cars, the r32 and fc are the top two most common chassis you'll see being used as time attack machines in Japan today. S chassis are more common among the drifters. z31, sw20, and ma supras are always found on drag strips. Of course the fc is equally popular across all boards.

Think its a big rotor conversion using stock modified calipers

The car has the same brake setup as the Super Now fc. Super Now two piece rotors, stock fd caliper, unknown pads, fd 17" rear rotors & stock caliper on Super Now caliper extentions. Going with fd calipers will gives you a wider selection of aftermarket pads.

FC and FD take the same pads.

Bigger rotors is great though.
