Never heard of it, I always ran them even on my last cars. Yeah some time and she will be clean. I will paint her when I get back in the spring. I will have a nice chunk of change to spend on her. I will spend extra time doing the paint since I am stripping the whole underbody and laying down POR 15 just to make sure rust is not an issue again.

I already put in an order through rbwheels for my Work equips, I want 18" this time 9 in the front and 10 in the rear.

But like all builds time is the key factor....and money lol

UPDATE RECAP:

The OS GIKEN twin plate clutch- I got a few pms of members asking how does a twin plate clutch feel.

It feels softer on the pedal than a ACT 4 puc unsprung yet it engages and disengages way better than a 4 puc. For example in traffic it isnt harsh like a 4 puc would be because it doesnt make you jump every time you try to move the car.

Now on the down side of the Os giken when you press in the clutch you can hear the disc rattle a bit. Just like a 4 puc unsprung screeches a bit when been released.

On the engine and general stuff-
-Temps stay at the middle of the gauge , drove her 112 miles yesterday and it stayed cool the whole time.
- Oil pressure the gauge cluster is damaged because the needle doesnt even move also the boost gauge doesnt work too well - So i am search of another s5 t2 cluster.
-She pulls a little to the left it could be low tire pressure or the bearing I will find out this week.
- I need a bop kit so i can finish my remainder of stuff to block off like the bac.
- OMP since its electric i have it grounded to the chasis right now i need to figuere how completely eliminate it. I am running premix and its awsome.
-

ORDERED AND PURCHASED MORE GOODIES!!!
-Cross drilled and slotted zinc plated rotors, hawk pads front and rear.
- HIMNI solid motor mounts
- Black rear storage bins

I am rounding up all the parts to install the a/c and power steering. The previous owner removed all off it so it gives me time to find good clean stuff to put back in.

Everything under the dash is there now

Thanks, I am running the stock ecu, since I am in the break in stage theres no need for me to pass 3500 rpms anyways so I am good. I will be running my Microtech LT10x when i get back from my deployment. Baby steps bro every one has to do them in order to run, take your time it will get done!

Did some minor work and tasks that needed to be done today.

-Started to re-tape the harness under the dash.
-Found my TPS issue I had wich ended up been the sensor on the clutch pedal.
-Re-routed the engine harness around parts so they can be hidden a little more.
-New battery terminals, the oem ones were so beat up that they would even clamp down anymore.

-My rotors and brakes arrived!!! Instead of ordering some oem replacements I went ahead and got some cross drilled slotted rotors. One of the main problems with these rotors is even with the zinc coating they rust easily so I went ahead and painted with 1200 temp paint the area that the pads dont reach.

Simple wipe down and battery terminal switcharoo. Look how much better this area looks now.

Let me know how you like those rotors, I heard bad things about them, heard the holes create stress areas and can cause cracking, and it was said that it reduces surface area.. then they went on to say that the reason for all that stuff years ago was gas build up and that the new type pad material doesn't have that issue.

I think they look cool as hell though and if they work then I may go for them, I am sure on a normal DD they should be fine, not like I am going tracking or anything...

To tell you the truth on my last Turbo 2 i ran the hell out of it with the same rotors and never had a problem. I believe thats one thing that it hapens to one person then everyone thinks it will happen to everything. For daily driving and commuting use man they are perfect . Just better looking and cheaper than buying replacement rotors.

Now ifyou want performance and all the bells and whistles going with a brembo, endless, project mu set up it where its at.
