are you gonna upgrade the PD and FPR? You can probably black powder coat the upgrades (along with the BOV) for that super sleeper mode!!

Unless the hardware is stainless, they're gonna rust like crazy as soon as they get wet.

Thanks guys

For now while I break it in It will have the PD and no aftermarket FPR. I will be ordering parts soon and most of them will be AN fittings and hoses . All of those will be black too. The fuel rails will be moded with welded an male ends on each rail. The lines will be black braided ones. Again keeping it as fresh and clean as possible.

Yea wish i had stainless bolts but compared to dirty, oild up, and rusty screws and bolts a fresh wire wheel and some wd40 will fix rust for a bit. I also steered away from the screw king, my last build i used a lot allen head screws and it was a pita . They look good but suck when you have to get the allen in weird places.

Very nice work sir. That's one shiny dorito motor.

For what it's worth, you can get stainless bolts from mcmaster.com for a great price, in just about any size/strength/head combo you like. I redid my entire motor with stainless on all low-loaded points for under 100 dollars.

Thanks guys

Well a trip to MAZDATRIX ended up in me buying new stuff and I also scored some other parts from LUCKY7 RACING.
-Throttle cable
-stainless steel braid clutch line
-misc gaskets for the turbo coolant and oil return lines
-Aluminum S5 coolant neck w/ sensor bung
-non ABS hard brake lines- I removed the ABS system on my car. I never liked the feel of it.
- Brake master cylinder
- Clutch slave cylinder

On order now are the
-new turbo oil feed and return lines in Black an fittings and Black Nylon braid lines
-Solid motor mounts

Progress as of today:

Motor is in!!
-turbo
-new harness
-misc brackets and lines got ceramic paint also .
-rear and d/s brake lines in

Pics will be up soon!!!

Wow man, your motor looks a lot like mine with my build last year. Got to love the brushed aluminum look.

It is so nice when you clean everything! I went through about two wire wheels.

As for the harness, mine was not that bad BUT I did do the exact same thing you did with tape and wire shroud. We think alike

I think some of the low key cars are the best built cars. Nothing too flashy, just a sweet, clean, car with reliable power... There is always someone faster then you, but there isn't always someone cleaner...

I have seen rusted out buckets that are faster then anything I have owned... But to me there has to be a balance.

UPDATE:

The car is running and purring with rpms at 900. She still has a couple little hickups i have to do but still havent driven her. Right now I am in need of the passenger side hardline and proportioning valve off a non-abs model in order for me to drive her.

BAD NEWS!!!!!

I am deploying to AFGHANISTAN in september. I am doing training all of august, and I am leaving for a couple days this month. So i only have 3 weeks of usage before I put her in a storage for 8 months.

I will get her running and cleaned up in the time been, sucks but I got to do what I signed back up to the Marine corps for.

With this car IF SOMEONE WANTS TO BUY IT PLEASE PM ME!!
if it doesnt sell its fine i will continue my build when i get back. Just shoot me a decent offer.

Thanks Mike

I got a couple places where I am thinking of keeping it ,yours is another option now. Sucks but time is ticking and Mohave viper is a #itch.

All I need for the car to be driven now is the brake master cylinder, passenger side hard line, and the proprtioning valve.

As soon as i do that i can take it to the dmv and register it. Oh lets not forget smog lol.

Wich brings me to WHO HAS A T2 STOCK EXHAUST SYSTEM I CAN BORROW FOR MY SMOG

First PICS of my new build 1991 TurboII, I will post better ones later. She is a little beat up but nothing I cant handle. Those of you who seen my last build saw it through 3 stages of paint so a fresh coat of Brilliant Black and some cabon goodies and she will come out pretty.
