a customer of ours brought us an 88 SE 2+2, the car has 56k miles and has not run in 6 years. we pulled the plugs, poured in tranny fluid, installed new plugs, cranked it w/ efi fuse pulled, aand then attempted to start it. it fired and smoked like a wild fire. after about ten minutes the smoke cleared up and it seems to run fairly strong. its doesnt idle cold but will idle nearly perfect once warmed up. we replaced the master brake cyl, put on four new calpiers, replaced the air flow meter - it was frozen solid with mouse **** and ****. the interior is in excellent condition and without cleaning the outside it appears that it will shine up to a 7-8 out of ten... anyway i offered the guy $1200 for the car before all of this work and he declined my offer. now that he has paid slighty over a $1k for work on the car he is going to try and sell it. what do you guys think would be a reasonable price for the car??? everything works - radio - antenna - wipers ect.

I see no sunroof which is a hard thing to come by, maybe the best part about the car but its a S4 base so i dont know. A car that sits for 6 years need a lot of **** replaced but i see a lot has been done so far. Hmm well you have a beautiful low miles TII so far. Do you have a Regular daily or is the TII your daily? Please tell me the TII isnt a daily : )

 

the TII is not my daily. i have an 89 celica gt that i drive daily. i was hoping to get this SE on the somewhat cheap with the understanding that it was going to need work after sitting for 6 years, and eventually that would be my daily driver.
