Lol@ all of these.
Don't bring anything extra. If you trust the seven it won't fail you.
And remove your cd player.
Nothing better than just listening to that rotary hum. =D

I havent gotten to go on anything like that but on day 2 (of 3 befor she blew) I put 230 miles on her and had a blast.I second disconecting the radio. Cuz mine was out and even with music its still better with just that beutifull 13b sound.
go for it, trust your 7, and the best pasenger to have is that special someone.

I brought a tool kit, an emergency kit with food, water and blanket, med kit, CB/SSB radio with tall antenna, and a Dell Axim 50v PDA with a whopping 4GB of MP3s on it (this was May, 2006). Apart from the MP3s, I didn't use any of it.
I drove 5600 miles across Canada from Ontario to British Columbia and back through the northern US to Michigan. The only problem I ran into was self-inflicted; the front bearings weren't torqued to spec; a thirty minute visit at a Sears Service Center in Medicine Hat fixed that. Otherwise, I had two oil and filter changes. Averaged 26MPG on the highway.
Today, if I wanted to, I wouldn't hesitate.
As long as the car is well maintained, and all major parts check out, you're fine.

Oh yeah, also an emergency tool and a fire extinguisher. Still didn't use any of it. Only thing that I really would've needed in one of the two road trips was water and/or Air Conditioning (the latter I've fixed).

Lol....
Might as well just go ahead and loosen all your lugnuts.
Tighten all your belts so they snap.
Toss a nut down the intake.
And maybe, remove all your filters just for good measure.
Honestly, if you trust it to drive everyday.
Why worry about anything?
