I posted this because I read an article asking if you would give up the Internet for a million dollars so I figured it would be a fun question to ask.
Anyways like most people my answer is yes.

You missed the "never one one again" part ^_-
For me... It would be very, very tempting.. But I really can't think of a car whose looks I like better than the FC.. Maybe I would do it and strip an FD to rework the entire body to look like an FC. Hmm....
Would a ground up replica FC count as "owning one again"?

Let's see....
I get rid of the FC, get a million dollars, then I'm never allowed to buy another one again.....
So you're saying that if I get rid of that thing in my garage that requires monthly ritualistic sacrifices of cash wads, and I get a million dollars? Then I'm never allowed to do something as sadistic and masochistic as buying another one?!!
Step 1) Take money
Step 2) Strip naked running through streets yelling "Free at last, free at last!!!!"
Step 3) Buy another 80's Japanese sports car like a Starion or 280zx and suffer the same headaches as you did owning an FC.

i'd take the million buy a DeLorean and use the rest of the cash to develop a flux capacitor so I could travel back in time and have my Fc again with the rest of my money

Hrrrm, would I keep my water pump leaking RX7 for 1 million dollars. Hrrrrm. I would invest the money into something that doesn't **** me over & gives me more monies, buy myself a McLaren MP4-12C & Ferrari 458 Italia and use them as DD because I can, then buy a FD RX7.
This was kinda easy; or I can be one of those SICK JAYDM TIGHT BOYZ and be like nope, I would rather have a Japcrap than a million dollars because I'm sooo JAYDM.

Hmmm...the fundamental issue with answering is that my FC is part of myself. To take the money and run means that I'd killing part of my own person. I've owned the car for 11 years, it is my first car. Nothing could ever replace it unless, say, I was to use the parts to build an exact copy (if, for example, the body was totalled but I could get another body and rebuild the car). However that's not a parameter here as if taking the money one could never own another FC. So even if I took the money, I would always miss the car; in this case money does not buy happiness. My answer then is probably "no".

At this point in my life a million dollars wouldn't buy me happiness as I am already one really happy dude. Sure if I was out of a job and my family was on hard times yeah I would take the million dollars.
Right now my answer is maybe. I'd have to think long and hard about it.
