NJGB's '87 TII - 140,xxx miles on chassis; 1,500 on Rebuild

It started out as a pretty clean, solid body with a motor freshly rebuilt by Mazda ( 500 miles on it), the motor was still under warranty for a while. But it had open exhaust and I was horrified of popping the motor so I started to think. One day it decided to get a funky idle so I decided to tear it down and start the build right. The block was brand new but the rest of the stuff under the hood had 145,000 miles on it, old fuel, coolant and oil lines, vac leaks and peeling paint. So it began like this:

Rtek7 Stage 2.1 ECU Upgrade
(4) Venom 720cc Injectors w/ new connectors
255lph Rewired Fuel Pump
BNR Stage 1 Turbo Upgrade
SS Turbo Oil Feed Line
NGK A/Fx Wideband Monitor
Autometer Boost Gauge
Blitz SS BOV
Custom TID w/ Cone Filter
Racing Beat Downpipe
3” Straight Exhaust to Dual N1 Styled Cans
Emissions Block Off Kit
Double Belted Alternator Pulley
Clutch Pilot Bearing and Bearing Seal
F1 Stage 2 Clutch and Pressure Plate
Low Mileage J-Spec Transmission
Short Shift Kit w/ New Leather Boot
Brake Master Cylinder
Low Mileage LSD
New Rear Axles
Ball Joints
KYB AGX’s
Mazdatrix Competition Differential Bushings
Mazdatrix Competition Motor Mounts
Atkin's Rotary Thermal Pellet Upgrade
Front Main Seal
Rear Main Seal
Vacuum Spider
Coolant O-rings
Reconditioned LIM
LIM to Engine gasket
Fuel lines, injectors, grommets and o rings
Oil metering pump lines
Thermostat
Thermo-wax Hose
New Fuel lines w/ T-clamps
Reconditioned Throttle Body
Vacuum Lines and Caps
Reconditioned UIM
Radiator Hoses
NGK Wires
Battery Terminals
Deka Intimdator Battery
TC Sportline Front Strut Brace (not installed)
GP Sports Body Kit (not installed)
RX7 Sport Spoiler (not installed)
Mallory Hyfire 6A CD Ignition Kit (not installed)

Some shots of the progress :

Looks more like this now:

I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot of stuff but this is most of it, for now. Should be about 295whp @10psi but I'm just pushing stock boost for now. I got the car for $4,000 with the freshly rebuilt motor and the straight exhaust, another $5,000 or so into it after that. All work done myself

Soon to have Racing Beat Rev II Exhaust and Racing Beat Springs and Sway Bars.

I still need oil cooler lines, new brakes, turbo blanket, boost controller, new fuel pulsation dampener, rims, paint, tint, headlights, fog lights, camber adjust link and pillow ball mounts and a few other things. It's really and endless list, you guys know what I mean.
