Hello all. I know most of you all treat your car like its your baby. I sure do. What i wanna know is what did you name your car?
What/where did the name come from and how long did it take you to come up with the name?
For me, I named my girl Chise from an old anime called Saikano.
It was the first romance anime i ever liked and i was watching the original trailer and the name just stuck with me.
I've named all of my cars. I don't really think about the name though.. each car has it's own personality.. and after a bit of time driving it, the name just pops into my head.
Names for my car change as I'm working on it...typically "are you ******* kidding me?" "no you didn't!?!?!" "Oh **** where did that go?" "Piece of ****" "You ************"
Admins feel free to censor if that's a thing now...
We bought 2 cars (my sons and I) to end up with one. The second car (91) is coming from Arizona and will be the body used for the final car. Brian O’Connor was from Arizona so the kids named this car “Tuna”. The other car has the donor engine but is otherwise pretty much a shell so they named it “No crust”. Even have them written in the white board in the garage. Corny, but I got a kick out of it and it has stuck.

My pet name for my TII was my "overpowered shitbox"
I came up with the name after I had been solo racing (auto-x, hillclimb, kart track) it for maybe 5 years or so. Probably after I had driven some other cars like Miata, FD and RX-8.
Its not like it was slow or handled bad or even had that much power (400rwhp). To the contrary, it was because to me its defining character was basic shitbox suspension design and enough power to make if fast despite that.
My cars name is Turbo II. It's even stickered on the side. It's the last car I will ever buy to drive daily. My 95 has been named Big Lightning by my 3 year old Grandson.
I've not dived into my project far enough to get a real sense for a name, but the preliminary candidate is "Turd" or "LsTurd"...It's a roller destined to be a ratty racecar.
