Vert Race/drift roll bar????
Wanted to know if anyone is running a roll bar in their convertible and which one?
I acquired an autopower Race roll bar with harness bar but when I was attempting to install it i ran into the issue of the roof motor linkage for the rear supports not clearing. not even close.
When I contacted autopower they said that they have not made convertible RX7 rollbars.
Can I remove the linkage and motors and use the this bar while making the roof into a manual miata style roof?
Would really appreciate the help if any. I want to go to some track events and they require at bare minimum a roll bar.
Thanks,

Alrighty. Got it in.
Roof functions with no issues.
Though I had to chop my rear brace and box it to clear the cross bar on the main hoop.
The rear plates are welded to the frame and then bolted to the rear legs (Sorry no pics of this)
the main hoop is a standard plate and bolt in.
Overall happy with the rollbar much nicer piece than an Autopower and actually works with the power roof. Though if you got a cage guy it might be worth while to have one made to avoid cutting.
couple of pics. Sorry my car is a disaster at the moment and I really didn't take many decent pics.
Then while cleaning up the rollbar i decided to giver a little beat down. Threw some weds on with r888 Rcomps and had a blast but not too far as I misplaced my front bumper. See if you can spot the wrapped turnsignals

I was curious what the pricing was on the roll bar. I couldn't find it on the Kirk racing website. Also i was wondering if you had any more pictures with the top up of the space between the cage and the convertible
any pictures/ information would be much apprenticed, 😁

Will be at the shop this weekend to re do the the hard line brake lines and fuel lines so I will snap some pictures. Had a brake line burst at the end of the season.
In terms of fit, I raised the cage by about an 1/2" to get it slightly pressing the headliner, (helmet clearance) I am 6'1" and my seat is on the floor. Roof still opens and closes no issues. Still need to remove the targa whenever the roof is down.
Few pics from the summer.
