Ridies replacement seat covers

Has anyone purchased and installed the replacement seat covers on their seats? I am in the process of restoring my 10th AE and was looking at them however was looking for feedback from those who have used them. Any input and photos would be very much appreciated.

What did you end up doing? I'm in the same boat.

i've done one of the RB covers, it fits pretty nicely.
my biggest problem has been that the seats are left and right, and the covers are left and right, but the covers aren't marked.

also upholstery is HARD, its physically demanding. i was more tired putting the seat covers on than doing an engine.

I've done the DIY leather seat upholstery replacements on my S5T2, and more recently on my FD. For the FC, I used Leatherseats.com, who were running a forum discount on these back in 2005-ish when I installed them. They still look & feel great. For the FD, since I wanted to stick as close as possible to the tan leather color & texture, I found the best option out there was buying from Ari at RX7.com. Did those around January 2023.

In both cases, the install wasn't terribly difficult - the only physically hard part was getting the new seat skins over the seat backs, which is kind of like trying to squeeze a size 36 *** into a pair of size 32 jeans. An upholsterer's tip I found that helps with this is to apply some corn starch or talcum powder to the insides of the new leather skins to help you persuade them over the tight seat foam forms.
