I have a 89 RX-7 convertible with the 1.3L. Just recently the tachometer started to function sporadically. When the tachometer stope working, the check engine light comes on, but when the tech is working, the check engine light is off. The engine still runs regardless. The car is in very good condition with about 82k miles. Haven't had any electrical issue since I brought the car 8 years ago.
