So I had my car get stuck in reverse . The first time it happened when it was on “neutral” it would reverse if I let go of the clutch . Would turn off on 1st and 2nd and wouldn’t allow me to hit 3rd, 4th, 5th and reverse . Took off reverse lockout plug and used an Allen key to unlock it. Happened a week later and now I’ve unlocked it again but it struggles getting in and out of reverse but does not grind. I’ve been seeing videos of people saying to change the switch because it must be worn down. Do y’all have any recommendations?! My mechanic wanted me to replace The whole clutch kit and what not but that is wayyyy too much money for me atm. Please recommend! I noticed that most of the videos on YouTube are for miatas but some comments mention the FC . Please help .
