Transmission Electrical Connections

Hey Guys,
I was wondering if anyone out there has knowledge of the electrical connections that attach to the transmission. I'm sure one is for the reverse light.
My issue is that Dave at KDRotary said I need to check my connections because whenever I put the transmission in gear (with the clutch still in the down position) the idle of the car falls.
i would just like to understand the electrical connections and perhaps which one's go to the ecu that might tell the computer about what gear it's in.
I have checked the shop manual and I'm not able to find any useful information.
Can Anyone shed some light on the situation?

On the tranny there is a neutral switch, a 1-2 gear switch, and reverse/backup light switch. There are also 2 switchs on the clutch pedal. All of the tranny switch connectors are in te vicinity of the shifter, you can probably see them from under the car.

What information do you have about the 1-2 gear switch and neutral switch. Because the engine run's great when the car is in neutral but not been I put it into gear. Perhaps somethings not "disengaging" when I shift out of neutral.
TIA

you should do a search, there was a thread from a week ago or so with someone with a similar problem. There was a button at the top of the clutch pedal that was sticking. I would try that first.

I did a search of one month ago and newer, I used the words clutch and petal, however I didn't find any information. Do you have any suggestions?

The clutch pedal discussion is REALLY an old thread ... you might need to go back a full year or at least to last summer.

There are 4 connectors on the tranny, 1st, 1st/2nd, nuetral, & reverse. I think only 1st, and 1st/2nd go to the ECU so I'm not sure that is it.
