Power steering ecu beep
Power steering ecu beep
Hello guys. My car is having a problem. When I turn on the headlight switch, my car makes a noise and drives me crazy. Today, I decided to chase the noise, and turned out it was coming from the power steering ECU. I looked at the FAQ and It seems like my car is losing an engine speed and vehicle speed signal. But, the RPM gauge and Speedometer both work functionally. I only heard the noise when I turned on the headlight switch. I also removed the idiot clock because I have an idiot cluster gauge pod. I hooked the idiot clock back, and it showed my hatch light was on. But I am pretty sure the hatch closed all the way and even I give an extra force to press down the left and right hatch lock location. The light was still on. What if I don't close the hatch all the way, will this cause the power steering ECU to beep twice?
That beeper is from your car alarm and flasher cpu. Something may be failing in that cpu. I did a write up on cpu repair and posted it on here back in July. Give it a look and then test your cpu according to the fsm instructions. Post your findings and we can go from there
