error beeps
NM infamous search button told me why
Still though... 5 beeps... rather intermittent. I'll try replacing the ECU and see from there.

i get 2 beeps - pause, which was said to be the crank speed sensor or something, but i'm 99% sure its just my seat belt warning beeps. annoying either way.

ECU???? no I don't think so... the ECU controls the engine, not the power steering.
If you had searched you would have found that the power steering computer gives a series of beeps based on failures of inputs to the power steering computer.
Such as 2 beeps pause 2 beeps
or 3 beeps, pause 3 beeps...
Or 4 beeps, pause 4 beeps
even 5 beeps pause 5 beeps...
all related to the power steering computer (the PSC) and its not reading an input... not the ECU.

someone before listed what the beeps meant, which is where i read what it said about the 2 beeps - pause..
" 2-beeps, pause, repeat. In case abnormality occurs to the engine speed signal. The buzzer sounds when the vehicle speed signal is input and no engine speed signal is input (short circuit, broken wire, etc.) "

It was wierd, mine was doing 8 beeps when you put the key in the ignition and turned it to on, for a while. I took my steering wheel off and crap to get at my ignition to setup my turbo timer. I put everything back together and the beeping is gone lol. Wierd
