Out of touch for 6 years, whats new?
Hey all,
I have been busy with other things for the last 6 years and the 7 has been severely neglected. What is new in the community, vendors, aftermarket companies, replica parts, oem retailers?
Last I knew the primary part sources were, mazdatrix, corksport, atkins rotary, and mazda.
Looks like the forums are spinning down, where'd everyone go? Any long term big builds still going on? There was a custom 4 rotor build going in a volvo I think at one time.
Thanks!

here is the news, nothing huge really.
1. Mazda is still the best source for parts, they are working on a list of stuff to bring back. they started a Miata restoration program, and its gone well, so they are looking to expand it to other cars
2. Japan in general has opened up for parts, stuff that was really expensive or just flat out unobtainable is now possible. when i can i prefer buying from Japan, condition matches the description better.
3. Mazda turned 100 this year.
4. locally here the REW swapped FC has turned viable, it is smogable (California), and you can buy parts for it. the FD ecu is a HUGE step forward from an FC one
5. the FC's are getting RARE.
editorially, i find the fb groups to be pretty terrible, the format isn't very good, and somehow the signal to noise ratio is much worse, i basically turned them off.
