Not again

Hey guys. My FC Friday was running good and today when I tried to start it up made this loud bang then shut off. A slight of white smoke [coolant} came out the exhaust. Did the whole engine flood procedure and even sprayed starter fluid to see if it was fuel related. Nothing. Any input or knowledge would be appreciated. Thanks ?

bang could be anything start with the standard engine diagnoses procedure.
First make sure your engine is actually turning over by watching it spin while cranking the starter.
Second make sure your ignition is working by using a spark plug tester and examining the plugs for damage
Third check fuel, it seems like youve already ruled that out but weirder things have happened with cars, check your pressure at the rails to be confident
Fourth check your compression as always with a rotary. You can either do it the proper way with a rotary compression tester or one of the many janky ways, the choice is yours!
Fifth check air, inspect intake and throttle body ensuring everything is clean and working correctly
And if you're worried about coolant leak just fill up with coolant and let your vehicle sit, then check if you have a leak. Goodluck.

Hey man thanks for the reply. Fortunately I got her running. Just needed some time to work on her. Engine was flooded. Rotaries are Notorious for that. Thank you again though!

glad to hear! keep an eye on your plugs, they do not like flooding. I wonder what the bang was.
