Very Nice! Does this mean that this is a pre-production car, or a "test car" since before this VIN the first production TII was supposed to be 140019? Or does this just drop the first know production number essentially to this one?

it drops the known production into the 139xxx range. the trouble is that they didn't build every vin, so like yours is H0139531, but there is no H0139530, but then there is a H0139529.
like Rxspeed16 says there may have been gaps in the line where H0139530 should have been, which must look funny, i wonder if the workers were supposed to mime building it?

or maybe not. check this out, it gets weird.

JM1FC3314G0139517 is a 1986 NA car, built 3/27/1986, G in the vin
JM1FC3323H0139518 is a 1987 T2 built on 3/27/1986, H in the vin.
JM1FC3318G0139519 is a 1986 NA, built 3/27/1986, G in the vin....

so they use the same vin series for two model years at once, depending on the model....

That seem like a really strange way of running an assembly line. I think on a registry for TII's i seen a older vin than mine.

its hard with the FB and FC, they actually built a lot of them like 300 a day, so i'm still on 3/27/1986. the FD is way easier, they built 300 in 6 months
