I have no idea what this could be
So on Saturday i was driving the car basically felt like it ran out of gas and died, i towed it home and the last few days i havent really touched it. Today i got in it and it started cranking just fine, i had to mash the gas and then it started, but as soon as i let off the gas it just dies. There were a lot of tiny metal shavings behind the alternator (if that helps anything) The car is running waaaay to rich, and sounds horrible while it is running, but it has full compression. Im at a loss of ideas

maybe try replacing the fuel pump? Make sure your injectors are firing. You can do this by putting a long screwdriver on each injector while someone cranks the engine. If you hear a rhythmic clicking that means that injector is firing.

Sucker for Punishment
Don't buy a pump just yet.
Locate the yellow connector under the hood around the passenger side strut tower. It's the only yellow connector.
Take a short wire, strip both ends and shove it in to complete the circuit.
Turn your key to ON and listen for the pump.
Post results.
