Car dies after warm up????

sup guys. new problem arose yestarday....i drove home from work about 40 min of driving....pulled into the store parking lot and turned the car off. when I came out i started the car but it was running crappy like it was about to turn off. I pulled out of the phe car parking lot and there was no power the car barely moved the harder i pressed on the gas the turbo just spooled and then a backfire. after driving about a block like that it went away and I drove 2 blocks home fine. the next day I started it up and it started fine. It warmed up and I drove it for about 10 min then it did the same exact thing. when it starts its fine. after It warms up and I drive for a few it has loss of power begins to act like its going to cut off with low rpms and barely moves when I press the gas. if I press harder on the gas it just picks up a little then when I let go of the pedal i get sputtering and backfire. I changed the plugs with no luck...any Ideas??

Could be the Water Thermosensor. Could be a clogged exhaust. When it starts to run crappy try putting the car in neutral and see if you can rev the car freely.

I have a similar problem. I have an 89' S5 GXL coupe n/a. Ok where to start? When I bought this car I knew it has some bogging problems but I ignored it or rather I got used to it. Idle seem to be fine to my standards. Idles just about 1,000RPM or just a little above that. Now the other day I drove it through a car wash and when exiting out of the wash it started dieing like crazy. The Tachometer reading below 600 RPM i Had to rev up the motor so just that It wont die on the road or at a stop light. Then today, It died on me twice. RPM's just dropped out of no where at a stop light. The second one I was just coasting on nuetral then it died. Car starts up fine with no problems. Could it be the TPS? The last owner did warn me about getting a new TPS, but I have not done so. I had this FC since February.

my car is acting the same way as well. Used to idle around 1.1k an now it's around 600 or lower. It would idle all the way to 0, then the idiot lights would come on as if the car was off then rise back up to 600 or so in that small time frame.
