Help solve this mystery

Does anyone know where this attaches? The car is a 1990 vert, unmolested.
The wire attaches to the white piece which is attached to a harness. I have tried to capture what is on the tiny piece, and I hope it is legible.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Note: I was simply looking under the hood, checkong things out like I typically do. There is nothing wrong with the car, has not been giving me any problems and runs like when I bought it about 18 months ago. But I thought it strange that this was just hanging there.
I should also note there was some tranny work done recently (last winter) as well as a new slave cylinder. I assume this was hooked up somewhere, cause it looks like there was a nut on it.
Thanks for your assistance.

just put it back where you found it. you can also mount it where ever you want. its not grounded or anything. that hole is just for mounting.

For the record, that is the condenser for the oil pressure gauge. Ground the tab to somewhere around the bellhousing. I think it normally is held by one of the bolts that hold the little inspection plate onto the top of the transmission.

Aaron is spot on with the item descriptionand original location. The condenser should be bolted down securely to the inspection plate on the rear iron. One 12mm bolt secures it along with the inspection plate.
