I have a 1988 FC convertible NA, the engine will cut out (sometimes even stall) when turning sharply or accelerating around corners…have you guys have this issue or do you think you might know what’s causing this?

 

Good chance the problem is inside the gas tank - typically it'll be a dirty pickup sock. I'd pull the pickup/sender unit and take a look at that sock. Of course, while there, check inside the tank for excess crud, and also check to see if any of the baffles came loose (far less common but I have seen it).
