hey, i have an idea of just replacing a lower mileage engine for my GTU, good idea or not, and do i need any mode for bringing in a new engine for the GTU 1990 FC.
Can i just buy the turbo II engine and stick that thing in original engine bay?
I know rx7 engine is hard to tune, but maintain a good life of an engine what can the be done to let the engine last?

Hard to tune? Where did you get that idea from?

 

I'm going to assume you mean any additional 'mods'. If you're swapping between the same variety of engine from the same series (i.e., a S5 turbo engine into another S5 that had a turbo engine, S4 NA into a S4 NA) then no, you don't really need any additional 'mods'- though there are things that are just smart to check and replace when you have the engines out.

If you're looking to put in a turbo engine where you had an NA, then it's a very big YES! that you're going to need other mods. Do some searching- there's lots of topics on this as well as writeups here and on other sites.
