Cigarette Lighter Removal
I haven't found a thread on this topic. If there is one, please let me know. My cigarette lighter in my 1988 Convertible isn't working. The fuse is good. The original owner states that he never used it. I'm trying to remove it from the dash to verify that it's getting power. Can it be removed without getting into the dash? Thanks, Mike

usually when you pull the lighter out, all the guts come with it, lol
the actual lighter locks on the colored ring, and then that clicks into the stereo surround. stereo surround is only 4 screws, so its pretty easy to remove, the S4 is even easier, sometimes you just look at it wrong and it shatters
you may be able to take out the ashtray, and see a way to get to the plug?
