Car won't start after short circuit.

First of all i have to say that I am very unexperienced with that stuff in general. So no hate please . And also sorry for my bad english. I'm not a native speaker.

I wanted to remove the battery and my wrench made contact with the engine housing (pretty dumb i know). There was a spark so i guess there was a short circuit happening. After i reinstalled the battery the car wouldn't start up. The starter is running but the car won't start. I checked the mainfuses and they seem to be okay. I also took a look at the ecu, because a friend mentioned this could be a problem, but there is no visible damage to it.

So is there another thing that could be broken or can the ecu be the problem without visible damage?

have you checked the fuses in the cabin as well as the main fuses? While not impossible, I'd be surpised if the ECU got damaged before a fuse popped.
