try and see what rpm it happens at. if around 3800 could be a grounding issue or secondary injectors. I have the same issue as you but happens at 3800. if i slowly accelerate past 3800 car is fine, but if i jump on it, at 3800 it bucks.

Have you verified the TPS is good (no dead spots) and is adjusted correctly?

The TPS is a common culprit for drivability issues.

i’ll have to look into both of these things when i get home, this is my first car and i’m trying to fix it up and get it running good cause it’s also my project car but i don’t really know where to start as i have never really worked on a rotary nor any other car. i only have 15 years of experience in the world lmao. but thank you guys i will definitely look into this stuff

You can start with two things, which will always be your starting point for these cars: searching, and the factory service manual (FSM).

This platform is so old that basically every topic/issue has already been covered over the last several decades.

Being that the FSM is available for free to download (you can find it by searching ) it is a tool that is invaluable to help keep these cars on the road. It also details how to test and adjust the TPS.
