Sourcing parts?
Can I get a list of the best places in 2020 that will be able to source OEM Mazda parts? Almost every link I have found so far is dead for interior parts and engine internals.

- Jim Ellis Mazda
- Tasca Mazda
- Mazdatrix
- Atkins (touchy subject right now)
- Racing Beat
Not to mention Ray Crowe is still available via email (not sure who he technically works for now).

This is one of the reasons I like Atkins. They buy large stocks of OEM parts and keep them on hand. You'll find they stock many parts that are no longer available (NLA), but you will pay a premium. They are surrounded in controversy right now though, regarding them passing off some 3rd party parts as OEM...so find the thread on here and be vigilant.
for example, N327-13-480 is a fuel filter for an FC, the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) is Nippon Denso and it comes on the bracket. Mazda Japan and Mazda Canada just sell you this in a Mazda box. Mazda USA will sell you N327-13-480-9U which is a Chinese made filter with no bracket. i still buy these because they have them and the price is good.
the other example, and its more of an aftermarket one, is that most of the aftermarket brands do not actually make anything anymore, they just buy something and put it in their box, it is called reboxing. so when you buy some aftermarket part you really have no idea what you will get. sometimes it is the genuine part, and sometimes its some knock off of a knock off, and then there are fakes too.
it pays to look at the old part, and see if it has a brand/markings on it, most do

that is just a problem in the industry in general, not just Atkins. Mazda USA occasionally does this too, but they will add a 9A or 9U to the part number.
