Anyone else notice this:

So this has been at the back of mind, and i feel i confirmed it recently when i had a couple of 3+ hour trips on the highway.

The cars that match speeds and give thumbs up and whatnot, generally show appreciation for my 7, are not what i would expect. It's not Mustangs, Camaros, Challengers and the like. It's not Hondas or Subarus and such, it's German cars. BMW, Mercedes, some Porches(including a beautiful vintage one) seem to be the ones to acknowledge me. Other car types just ignore me.

Just me? or anyone else seen this?

Older guys will appreciate the fb more and the fd was made even more popular due to movies. The fc has the middle child syndrome. When I was driving around one day, a kid had his dad stop beside me red fc so he could take a few pictures of it. I thought that was pretty awesome. Our cars are definitely skipped over.

I find this to be pretty accurate.

Our cars did get skipped over, but I find that it's changing slowly. In general, it does get a lot of generic "unusual car" attention. People ask what it is, or want to talk about it. But more and more, people are recognizing it.

I often get compliments from people in parking lots on my 10th Anniversary RX-7. People seem to really like the car but have no idea what it is. I always enjoy explaining to people what the car is and how it came to be. It's a really great conversation starter.

I guess I do get ppl coming up at gas stations and what not. Maybe it was just coinci or I notice those cars more myself, if a challenger gets near me at a light they sure notice and seem to want to go every time!
