Cali, Texas and Florida cars
Cali, Texas and Florida cars
Is it just me, or does it seem like a lot fast cars come out of these 3 states. I'm not trying to put any other state down, but that's what I've been noticing (on other boards too!)
well, perhaps it is just a coincidence. i do know that when people look for a clean car to restore or to invest in, the southern cars are always the better choice because of lack of rust due to road salt. usually sothern cars are the better choice.
web77 is right! I live in the S.F. Bay Area on the East Bay side, A town called Fremont Bout 20 Mi. north of San Jose and 20 mi south of Oakland. Its 70-75 degrees for a good 90% of the year (except nov-feb) it gets in the 50s. Anyway, there is nothing better than driving 80mph on the freeway with the sun on you and your girl friend in the seat next to you and your hair blowing in the wind with the windows down! GOT TO LOVE CALI!!! I fell sorry for all these guys up in the northern states who can only drive their babies for 3 months out of the year. Lets put it this way, If I could only see my GF for three months out of the year, I would move. Maybe all you 7 owners should move to Cali and enjoy the weather, or at least migrate with the birds!

(I and the g/f cruise around in a clean white 84 gsl, distinctivly ours by the lack of power antenna (previous owner got it torn off by a car wash. BTW, the g/f technically owns the car, I just love to work on it).
I got my first GSL from Florida, the cat had been replaced with a welded in straight pipe. Could it be that Florida doesn't have emission laws, so people are free to modify their cars however they want? This wouldn't apply for CA, of course, must just be the weather out there. Don't know about Texas.

If you wanna see how your car will perform, bring it to LA and see if your car can handle the LA stop and go traffic.

no emissions in FL. As for fast rotaries. I'd love to visit Puerto Rico to see some of the cars there. They have some of the world's fastest rotaries. I have a tape that my friend gave me from a event in Lakeland that had alot of the cars from the area and some from PR and they were fast as hell. Too bad the track their is totally crap.
