First Time RX-7 Buyer

I've been interested in RX-7's for a while and one came up for sale near me recently. (https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/...054789471.html) Didn't know if there is anything I should know before going to look at it tonight, or just in general about this model.

Any advice regarding the value of the car would also be helpful as this car is no longer on KBB.

Wow that is a pretty clean S4 vert. I would recommend finding out who rebuilt the motor. Doing research to see if they only specialize in rotary engines. Find out if the motor was ported. I would look around the oil cooler lines to see if there are any leaks. Let the car idle and confirm there is no white smoke coming out from the exhaust. Drive the car around obviously. When engaging the clutch make sure there is no whinny sound. From the pictures the car looks cherry. $3k is not a bad price but I don't know your budget.
