LA 10th AE back from the grave

Ok fellow rotor heads, I picked up a 10th AE recently. when I found it I didn't realize it was a 10th AE originally since I really just needed parts I was going to part it out. But, I cant bring myself to part out this classic. However, its not in good shape and would need a good bit of work to get back right.

It sat in a field for 5 years for an unknown reason, clutch is stuck the the floor, has a few chewed up wires, bad surface rust on the body, it was wrecked and poorly repaired, few bad rust spots in the normal places. But!! everything electrical works! has all the 10th AE stuff and a pile of receipts.

My question for you guys is what would you do? I could use a good bit of the parts for my 87 turbo II, I need the motor for internal parts, and Could definitely use some of the interior parts. Or I guess I could sell my 87 keep this and restore it, I'm not too keen on that honestly as my car is in much better shape. Or Pull my parts I need and sell the rare car as a roller for someone that needs 10th AE stuff.

yeeeeeesh. shes pretty bad. The 10thAE bits are even in rough shape (shifter and steering wheel) only other special 10thAE parts are the taillights, and the glass (if its all original)

unless the seats under those seat covers are immaculate

I hate to say this, but I'd say let this one pass, one more gone of the 1500 made

glass is intact and appears to be original, according to the receipts the front windshield was replaced in 89 but looks to be bronze tinted still. Idk, maybe I should just build a 10th AE tribute car with my 87 lol.

It would be sweet to see you redoing a 10th AE for sure...

I restored one a few years back. Started in 06 and finished it some time around 2010. Sold it when I bought my current house and I regret it. Looking for another one to restore. I'd love to make a deal with the owner.

I sent the owner a pm a few days ago and no reply. Doesn't look like he's been on the forum in months. The car could be long gone by now

The owner of the car did get back with me. I sent him a pm with my phone number and asked for more pictures and some details. We'll see what happens from here and if I can save another I will.
