ok, replying to the post about the carbon falling in the engine.
we ATF our rotary engines
A. because it eats up carbon and gets rid of it when we start the engine and redline it a couple times on the highway.
so a good safety precaution would be to pour some ATF in after you remove the sleeves if their stuck pretty badly and have lots of build up, let the ATF sit in the chamber for 24 hours and start it up, get all the carbon out at one time, also, when you use the ATF it fouls your plugs so you will have to have a different set to put in after you get all the ATF out.
when you start the engine on the old plugs let it idle until it quits smoking, which could last for a good 5-7 minutes, then shut off the engine and put in the new plugs, take it out on the road and redline 1st and 2nd gear 5-7 times.
note: if your in a residential area, this might not be possible, because it makes LOTS and LOTS of smoke.

pineapple sleeves are rumoured to be worth 5-8rwhp, which is very considerable, plus i would think you would get better fuel/air mixture with the smoother air being put into the engine, so better fuel mileage is also a possibility
