I think he is simply saying a short crank kiwi/extreme rotaries 20b setup is only ideal for a full p-port engine. And with it being 1.5 inches shorter its good for tight space applications. Makes sense to me?

^ Thanks, but I find the idea of "most people" that are using this setup because of "tight space" hard to swallow
Somehow I was under the assumption that it has more to do with the design advantages over a standard 20b.. but hey, what do I know

thanks gtorx7, bassicly what i was getting at is the fact that a short cranked 20b is more suited for a p port settup because of the intake restrictions running the 13b intermediate plate. the thick 20b plate has a primmary and secondar intake port in it. instead of the 2 primaries of the 13b plate. its less about people using it for the space restrictions. i just threw that out there because that does influence some builders

What you just mentioned about restrictions is not a factor because either 3rotor PP will have all the side ports blocked off.

the restrictions were directed towards the people using the short crank 3 rotor on a side port motor
