What is the purpose of the small hump in the front part of the oil pan?
I have a 20b in my FC but I'm fighting for space a bit to fit AC and radiator. The car will be NA with ITBs. Currently there is a dying T2 trans, and I want to put an RX8 trans in the car. This would solve 2 issues.
First, the 20b on banzai mounts sits fairly far forward, about a 3-4 inch gap to the firewall. By moving back the engine I could eliminate the shifter issue with the rx8 trans and my lack of radiator space. possibly fix the issue with the sway bar too?
I think, that only leaves the hump from the oil pan being in the way? I dont remmeber seeing an oil pick up tube or anything.
Mr Amemia built a 20B FC for the TAS a few years ago, and he did exactly what you are thinking, moving the engine back fixes everything

*****. I dont think I have the skills to get this done. It looks like the oil pickup is changed with the oil pan, The subframe looks modified for the steering rack mounts maybe maybe not? The trans tunnel definitely looks modified....But doing that would solve so many issues of space up front.
