nope and nope.. i't's pretty small.
i really wasn't expecting that to pop up, so i wasn't paying as close attention as i maybe should have been. we scoped the whole thing out and still can't find a place for it--unless maybe, possibly it goes on the e-shaft itself between the two sections.

we'll keep looking for a home.
but WHOOPIE!!!!! i get to build a 3 rotor

One of the two blind plug o-rings?

BTW, there was a 20B NA produced by Mazda Motorsports. I don't know if you can still buy a complete engine, but they do still sell the parts.

Check it out with your fingers... Ill bet it has a square cross section.
It would be a section of the outer water jacket o-ring.
Seeing how cooked that engine is It is prolly kinda brittle in areas.

I have seen those grey water seal/o-rings in several of the engines I have taken down. It prolly came from the rotor housing that it was stuck to.

Also if you look at the picture there is one on the table under the housing near the washer in the top right.. as well as more of it on the bottom left with a black edge where it appears to have gotten hot. (Might have seen that in the FC3s.org Pics) The "o-ring" looks to be grey string or something in the picture.. with a black edge....
DOnt sweat it. Just replace the o-rings etc like a regular rotary rebuild.
