street ported 20b in trinidad??where?? by who??wah car?? fella i have ah GT42 BB with a 1.22 A/R , it'll be on a street ported 20b...i think anything larger than a 1.22 is not streetable, plus you'll never hit full boost on the little streets of trinidad with that 1.32 u might end up in a canefield somewhere

I agree with RoTaRyBoyZ, I'm running a T76 with a 1.15 A/R ,a 1.32 is to big, unless there is somewhere you can open it up.

So if you think a 1.15 is a bit small, and everyone here thinks a 1.32 is a bit big, then it should be pretty easy to figure out a good size!

The whole secret surrounding turbo sizing is what makes a tuner (and shops) able to charge big money for their expertise.

Personally, I think your T70 (compressor) side a bit too small for a 20B, especially a ported one.  With the larger 1.3 turbine A/R, it should make nice power, but probably limited to about 600hp.

The T76 is a much nicer match for the 20B...

So do you have an opinion of the GT42 bb that RoTaRyBoYz will be using? Thats one of the turbos I was considering for my 20b as well.

after reading alot of old turbo threads & talking to alot of folks, i figure the GT42 with 1.22 A/R would be good for 800hp and still be streetable....$1000 non BB and $1800 dual BB , u cant beat that

We haven't looked into the new Garrett GT-series stuff, as data is sparse and direct experiences are very limited.
Not to mention these things are expensive!

i believe it depends on what kind of boost you are planning to run ,say at 15 psi i think the 1.15 will be just fine but say you run higher boost ,say 20psi, the 20b generates a lot of heat (also youre ported) so i would feel more comfortable with the 1.32 turbine so the engine doesnt "choke" at higher boost levels ,
btw i agree with REted the t76 is a nice match for the 20b ...thats what i got

That's what I was thinking. Were did you get the BB version for $1,800? That sounds really cheap!

Agreed. I suggest'd the 1.15 because I'm not planning on running more than 17psi, so it should spool very nicely.
