Mike Whidett(sp?)'s FD drift car with the peripheral port 20B built by Kiwi-RE in New Zealand had Renesis internals.

So it's been done before, just probably need to find out the exact details. Calling Kiwi-RE might be a good start.

Im guessing you have to modify the rx8 rotors slightly cause of width?? This is just a guess since they are wider. But idk.. Id like to find out though.

Make sure you are using the correct bearings. The oil injector/babbot bearing races are in different locations from S4/5/6 to RX8 rotors.

No modifications necessary for the rx8 rotors to fit in the 20b.
No oil jets, only if it will be a race engine with high rpm usage.
Normal bearings will do, or race bearings if your engine will see high rpm.
Stock 20b counterweights with a balance done.
Hope that helps

Here is a quote from rotary aviation. Please check this out and this might help with the rotor bearing oil grooves clearances with RX8 rotors and 2nd/3rd gen cranks, vice versa.

http://www.rotaryaviation.com/renesis_engine.htm
March 3rd 2004
A mad frenzy then ensued to determine what was going on. Skipping all the head scratching and calculations, the bottom line is that Mazda decided that 60% engagement was acceptable. The whole exercise looked like a Chinese fire drill except for one small detail we noticed during the head-scratching. The front main bearing oil hole on the Renesis shaft was moved about .150" forward. This resulted in a mismatch between the oil hole and the main bearing oil groove. Using the original 13B shaft may have resulted in insufficient oil to this bearing.

You can use them, but you're better off with the 9.7 S5 rotors. It will cost you additional money to machine the renesis rotors for full length apex seals etc. Apparently in the SAE papers from Mazda there's basically no difference in power between 9.0 and 10.1

^ It's doable, and completely not worth it unless you cannot source S5 rotors.

Thanks that’s good info , well I’m going NA street port or just stock port with just polishing ports . So not looking for power just going to be a nice fun Rx3 with a 3 Rotor NA .

only reason I wanted Rx8 is because yunk yard here sell rotary parts cheap well any import they don’t care what car is a standar price and I was going to open renessis engine up in the yunk yard buy rotors only . And just purchase transmission while I’m at it . Save money so I can machine them so will save compare to buying s5 rotors . S5 rotors get pricey for good set of 3 .

You do you man, if it's too spendy to drop 250/each on S5 rotors then I'd be concerned where else you're going to choose to cut corners on a 20b build.

250 x 3 =750 plus I need all the oil control rings etc plus I need to get them balance and clearance .
I will do me all day and once done I will continue showing that saving a dollar where it can be saved is not cutting corner on an expensive built . Is so easy for me to purchase a complete engine package but half the **** is going so why buy it complete and Try and sell all the parts cheap .

anyways once is done with the help of a few guys here and some guys I’m working with I’ll post how it all worked out on you tube and my IG and my Facebook and show how I saved a few dollars my way but did it right .

And you wont need to do all that with Renesis rotors? You're building a 3 rotor broseidon. It costs money.
