i love the outcome.. your car looks sick!

i wonder if i can come close to the 1000whp with two 044's. my old CCW's used to stick out about 2-3mm and it almost messed up my rear flares are you planning on leaving it like that?

my old turbo used to sit in a similar location as yours and all it was doing was sucking up hot air from the radiator. when you re-do your manifold see if you can tilt the turbo back in a angle so is not so close to the radiator.. kinda like mine

I was thinking about adding bump stops just in case.

I was trying to move the turbo back farther, but the exhaust housing is too big to fit. I clearanced out one of the humps on the strut tower like you did.
I'll keep playing with it.

1000whp? Is your block studded or pinned or are you just running a later series block?

mine is pinned, C code, Balanced, bridgeport(previously street)... i know i will make over 1000whp if my two fuel pumps let me everything else should handle it.

i know his car is streetport, balanced and im sure its pinned and if i remember right it's a C code as well.

both of our cars made 800whp+ with a 80mm turbo @ 25 psi. we both running 88mm turbos now.. i dont see why they would not make 1000whp around 30 psi.

I have a Jeff Bruce (Precision Eng.) from NZ. At the time the exchange rate was awesome. It was only $14xx shipped.
When I broke my e-shaft a few years ago.

by a competent engine builder.
All prices are in NZ$ and are ex factory so no allowances for
shipping etc have been made .
NZ customers should note that gst is charged on top of these prices.

1. 3rotor crank assy NZ$2400 (12a based version same price)
2. 4rotor crank assy NZ$3500 (includes special rear c/weight)(12a same price)
3. Centre housing modification for 3 or 4 rotor kits NZ$800 (2 req for 4 rotor)
4. Thru bolt set (10mm) for 3 rotor NZ$420
5. Thru bolt set (10mm) for 4 rotor NZ$450 (12mm also available for $500)
6. Dowel set for 3 rotor kit NZ$140
7. Dowel set for 4 rotor kit NZ$150
8. Direct oil feed for 3/4 rotor kits centre housing NZ$90 (2 req for 4rotor)
this mod is not a necessity only an upgrade for the oiling system.
9. Replacement 20B shaft assy NZ$2400.
10. 20b shaft assy , 3 piece with extra needle bearing assy NZ$3200 (3rotor version same price)
11. 13b/12a centre bearing crank kit NZ$2000

note that the centre housing mod cost is only for the mod ,it does not
include the cost of a std front gear or the housing ,these items esp
the housings vary greatly in price depending on the year/type. They
can be priced on submission of version required.

I looked at a 4th gear dyno pull log

3500= 2psi, 4000= 7psi, 4500= 12psi, 5200= 25psi.

The new turbo will have more lagg. We will find out soon.

Hmmm it looks like the 4rotor crank kit just got cheaper. Without shipping, I converted the price to $5294.90. Damn I need to come up with some money.

A quick update.
Axles came in and are installed. I picked up my driveshaft yesterday after work. I still need an alignment and to set final ride height.
The wheels and tires do fit within the flares with the weight of the car on them. So no bump stops needed..

I was able to take it for a quick spin arround the block. The turbo spools about the same as my old one. I do have an exhaust leak somewhere. I think/hope it is the wastegate gasket.

Next on the list is get the windows tinted and get black seats or skins.
I'll post pics tomorrow.

Been way too busy with work, plus I have 2 other FD's in my garage that I'm working on.

I hope to get time the next couple of days to finish a few items and get an alignment done.
I'll take some picture when I clean her up.

I'll take some pics of the 8.8 swap for you also. There are a few threads on here and the v8 forum about it.

Thanks, I would appreciate it. I used your last thread on the T56 swap to do my car; it’s one of my favourite threads!
