Next, with the Starter removed.

The gearbox is slipped over the studs of the adapter plate.
The imput shaft and the studs must align simultaniously.
The clutch disk(s) must be aligned, so the imput shaft penetrated the splines at the same time as the bellhousing bolt holes slip over the upper long studs.

In this illustration, one can see the bellhousing firmly agaist the adatpter plate with the Starter mount peretruding through the hole previously used for the Hydrawlic Slave Cylinder on the Supra.

This hole must be opened up to accomodate the body of the new dedicated Starter.

A template is supplyed so that one can trace and enlarge the opening as nessesary for the Starter, as this is were the Starter will live in this application.

Finally, the whole kit comes together with the Starter bolted onto it's base with the gearbox bolted to the plate, which was previouly bolted onto the enbine block.

In a couple of days, I will post a short video of the Starter engaging the flywheel simulating an actual starting sequence.

NICE!!!!!

BTW, since I know you'll prob be posting up info, pricing etc, I'm sure one of the questions that'll pop is, is the adapter plate for use on a 13B-REW or a 20B, or both?

Thanks!
~Ramy

PS: I CALLED DIBS!!!! The first set is MINE!!!!!!

Yes to both,

As I built this, We quickly realized some oversights of the very first design some years back based on trying to use the OEM 20b auto Starter w/ a Gen 3 Flywheel.

It didn't work, as the ID of the Supra's Boxes bellhousing was physically smaller than the mazda flywheel.

The latest Plate along with the latest CAD adjustments, supports and has provisions for
ANY YEAR ROTARY EVER MADE, except for the twin distributor 10 & 12 a models of '69 & '70.
The drawings are extendes to take into consideration any bellhousing produced for future use.

Any rotary, any year 12a, 13b or 20b is a bolt on.

Are you going to sell 4 rotor cranks as well? The tranny set up is awesome, but I like the other pics.
