I'm thinking of doing an issue of RX Tuner focused on the 20B. Do write-ups of 8-10 cars that have done the swap ... and starting a 2 or 3 part series on a 20B swap into a FD.

I'm doing an NA 20B GLC. I'm going to test fit the engine (again) today. With luck I'll test fire it by the end of the week (heh yeah right, but I can always hope).

Several test-fittings later, the engine and tranny are finally in. The next step is to start installng and modding things.

I am just starting my 20b swap. I guess it won't be done for a few months. I am taking lots of pictures though, and wouldn't mind doing a write up of it.

at low boost an est 300+rwhp and i plan to EASE my way up to 625rwhp or so...
but 300horse is not that crazy in that car i had it upto about 270rwhp w/ my 1.6 setup @ 18psi (big BB T28) boost hit at about 2200rpm.

I hope the car is worth a feature.

 

I doubt mine would be, but then again, who knows?

 

Either way, fi addict, a Miata with more than 250hp is a force to be reconed with. Not to mention the sound of a demented 20B growling 2 feet in front of you is pretty intimidating.

It's a Porsche 914 with a widebody kit on it. I'm slowly gathering parts and pieces. I'll be sure to do an update when things get further along.

You said about 8 - 10 cars. What about Trucks/SUV's? How about my 20B that I am putting into the 4Runner? Would that count for anything? It will be done in time to have it at SEMA. Are you going to be at SEMA? I know, it's not a Mazda but it will have the "rotary" power... Can't wait until it is done...

 

I would like to publish ANYTHING with a 20B in it ... but I do only want completed, running cars. By completed, you know what I mean. There's no such thing as a completed project, but running and presentable.

And please, if you're interested, write me at ryan@rxtuner.com with some info about yourself and the car. Right now I have about 4-5 good prospects, would like to add a few more.

I'm considering going to SEMA in Vegas, but that's not until November is it? This issue is going to be August.

Oh, and I should mention that. The deadline for stories is coming up fast, since it's targeted for the August issue. If you want in, write SOON. Deadline for submissions will be July 12th lets say ... and deadline for completed stories will be July 19th.

My 20b FD sould be running by then, but it won't be painted and will still have a good bit of work on the body, suspension, etc, in store for it. If you're still interested just let me know.

Unfortunately I'm not doing an issue on all the people who want a 20B ... just one of the people who do.

Still needing more submissions, write me! The mag has 10000+ circulation now, on news stands, and distributed at HIN shows and Nopi shows. So if your car is in it, you'll get some publicity. Would be good for a portfolio, if you're looking for sponsors.

 

Do you plan on flying to where the car's are and doing the evaluation of the cars (i.e. driving the cars, testing handling, acceleration, dyno runs)?
