Stock Cosmo Coils
Stock Cosmo Coils
I know that the Motec M600 will run the stock JC Cosmo coils but this ECU is priced insanely high! Is there another ECU out there that can run these coils? It's not a problem to get the coils because I have the entire front clip. Is the Haltech E11v2 capable of running these coils? If not, I'm going to just go with the E11v2 and LS1 coils. My goals are medium street port, T70 single turbo, 15lbs boost. Thanks in advance! Oh, and by the way, I did search but couldn't find anything on this.
The E11v2 will work with the LS1 coils. The problem I had with this setup, however, is the LS1 coils caused ignition breakup at anything higher than 14.5 lbs. of boost. What has worked for me is the E11v2, with MSD Blaster coils and 2 MSD ignition boxes. No breakup and works great.

The good thing about the E-8/11 software is that you can select seperate firing 'edges' for the trailing and leading ignition outputs so in that way you can use an ignition amp on the leading which normally require a 'rising edge' signal and a factory type igniter/coil on the trailing which normally require a 'falling edge' signal.[/QUOTE]

My understanding is that Motec-USA do a 100% mark up on the same ECU compared to Motec-Australia. I could be wrong
However, if you ask for a Motec-Australia purchase, they putyou onto Motec-USA so you really need to know an Aussie first.
