sleeve swap question
Now that I have found a easy to remove the
sleeves I just wanted to ask others here what they did
to make the TII sleeves fin the 20b housings?
the air port in the 20b housing stands up in the way
of the TII sleeve so it will not fit in ,,, do I just grind it down in there?
question 2
when putting in the new sleeves, does anyone see
a problem with taping the pin hole, and using a set
screw to hold the sleeve in place rather than using a
spring pin, would make it easier in the future to remove
them in the event of a housing replacement...

I found the answer to my first question.
the air port tube that stands in the way of putting in
the TII sleeve is just a brass insert which hammers out
easily.
no answer to my second question yet ???
I went ahead and taped the pin hold and will try to find
set screws in the morning.

Yeah Matt.
All the one's i've build i've ground down the tube & i tap the housing & sleeve M6 ,screw a long bolt in & then carefully grind the excess flush with the side of the housing.Once you've done this there's no real reason to have to remove the sleeve again anyway.
i've done this on all the 20B's as well as the 13B cosmo engines i've built & never had an ounce of trouble.
