Santa says- 20b conversion kits on sale! Ho ho ho!

So Christmas is still a bit away, but apparently Santa stopped by Defined Autoworks and is giving 20b conversion kits at reduced pricing to three nice Rx7 owners!

We acknowledge that typically our kit orders take a very long time to build and receive..... so this time they are 90% pre-built. But we only have three! Here is the deal-

quantity (2) Deluxe version 20b conversion. Keeps full A/c and P/S! Still the only kit that keeps your full factory subframe, which means your car will handle like Mazda intended!

Reg price $2070

Santa price $1830

quantity (1) Base version 20b conversion. Keeps full p/s but deletes a/c. All the same great features!

Reg price $1670

Santa price $1430

First three get it! Parts that need to be mailed to us- 20b oil pan/ stock steering rack/ Powersteering bracket from the FD. Base kit also need to send alternator tensioner bracket.

No, our kits physically mount the 20b into the Rx7 chassis. The radiator setup, oil cooler setup, fuel setup and wiring will have be to done to get the 20b running

We do build n/a headers for 20b's, have custom spark plug wires, turbo manifolds, ITB intake systems and slide throttle systems.

No, the pre-made kits have been sold now. I can meet anyone half way and do $1900 on the deluxe kit for the next month.

I'm wondering about the placement of the alternator. I know the PS pumps can be prone to leaking, and I know alternators can throw sparks if they malfunction. Is there any worry that this setup (with alternator mounted below the PS pump) could case engine fire? At the minimum, fluid leaking into the alternator could cause the alternator to fail. A quick Google search results in lots of discussion about failing alternators due to power steering fluid leaks.

Perhaps a drip shield needs to protect the top of the alternator?

^Tom, it's typically the line connecting the resistor to the inlet. I try to always upgrade anyone's line that comes to me. The factory clamps and tube don't work well alone; and together forget it! A drip pan would be a good idea but I would just fix the real problem from the get-go.
