now that was much clearer than the first post.
This is exactly what I did, I got the front clip, for a lot more than
the price you found, and put it into a 1988 ae.
I used the 20b's auto trani, its computer, coils, and
all the wiring.
I did all the work myself so the cost was low,
I didn't have to buy anything other then the clip
+ air filter, fuel pump, intercooler, and custom drive shaft
which was the most expensive "extra" part I had to buy.
the motor mounts I made since the only place to get them
at the time, wanted more than I would pay, but lucky
for you there is another place making a lower priced
mount.
As for level of difficulty figuring out the cosmo's wiring
and computer, I would rate it a 10 from 1 to 10 being the
most difficult. I am not saying that someone else couldn't do it,
but to date, no one other than myself, that I know of has been able to do it.
That said, I would suggest anyone taking on this project start with
a TII car, for its drive train.
before even trying to get the motor etc into the rx7, work on
getting the wiring figured out and running out of the car.
Much easier to work on the wiring etc on the shop floor.
You can check out my url for some of what I did.

If you are limited on cash I would just get a TII
and fix it up, there is a lot that can be done with a
TII that can make it GO. the 20b will give you more
torque but dollar for dollar a well done TII is just as
much fun.
