power steering or not

In an effort to make more room i was thinking of
removing the power steering and going to a manual
rack.
I wanted to ask others here with a 2nd gen 20b what it
is like without the power steering?
with the added weight of the 3 rotor up front how much
effort is it steering?

later

My car was converted from PS to a manual rack prior to the 20B swap, and the manual rack is MUCH better. Had I realized this, I would have changed out the steering rack years ago. I'm still working on the car, so I haven't tried it with the 20B installed, but it looks like the weight on the front wheels is going to be close enough to the stock weight that it's not going to be an issue.

You should be able to find one in a junkyard, even in Canada if you look hard enough.

Also, the manual rack is substantially lighter than the power, so that helps to combat the front end weight issue as well.

I've never driven a 20B powered FC with manual rack though so I can't comment on how it drives.

In the US, the 86-87 base models had the manul rack, and it was an option on the S4 TII.

I have an article on the 1986 RX-7 steering systems on my crummy website:
