Plastic engine block for mock-ups

Anybody heard of a 20B one of these or have any connections that could facilitate their production?

I thought about this about a year ago and looked around for a foam/plastic 20b engine block, but didn't find anything.
I think your best bet would be to have someone work up a print and have one made. This is very similar to what larger companies do for prototypes on new parts before actual production.
I'm not sure what the price would be however, not too cheap unless you know someone. Those guys might actually make you one if you supply a print/drawing.
I was going to do it, then rent it out to people. But never followed through with it since my motor was already in the car and I didn't need it anymore.

I kind of doubted that anyone would've produced one, but I figured it'd be worth asking anyway. I've been surprised more than once by the resourcefulness of the fellow rotard.

You know since the guys down in AUS are making the aluminum side plates, I see no reason why they couldn't use the same molds for plastic. Also it would be cheaper to just make the individual plates to make any engine you wanted. 12a, 13b, 20b, 4 rotor ect. Hell even Mazda Trix could probably do it.

id be interested in a mock up engine if anyone could source the thing, plates and housings would be cool, so as stated you could make any motor you want, but if you knew someone that has a cnc scanning tool, you can laser scan the entire block, and it feeds it into a cnc machine and can cut out a mock up block out of foam or plastic, abs plastic would probably be best, how hard to you think it would be to mold fiberglass around a 20b block and still get all the contours?

I think you'd be better off just using junk housings and intermediate plates bolted together.

True but the plastic block would be much easer to move around.

i know of a place here in town that has a cnc machine, ill see if they have the tools to scan something and pull it up in a CAD program, if so ill mock up a 20b and take down to them and have them scan it, how much would people pay for a plastic mock up engine? 3-400 each?
