this is what seems to be the cause of my exhaust problems , as my header is fine

i will now make my new 4" exhaust , but this time i will let the wastegate tube dump into the open , this also makes less stress on the header/downpipe
everybody knows that with lots of heat , that exhaust is moving
Also makes the exhaust system less complicated

i decided that once i already have the header out , i might as well take care of that annoying oilpan leak , so i took it off and resealed it
but i found this in the oil pan

not shure what it is , feels like a dried-up rubber of some sort , hard as plastic
it kind of looks like the rubber piece in the oil cap , but i am not shure
if anybody wants to chime in
i already ordered the exhaust i will be useing and i already have almost everything here to fab up a complete 4 inch exhaust
i will be assembling the car back this weekend , and wait for the muffler to arrive
then its straight to the dyno

Where do you usually buy your plugs from?

They certainly aren't cheap, but nothing ever is for these cars.

That is the plastic ring that is usally attached to the front counter weight. Not to much to worry about

blackfd , i am not shure how expensive they are , i got these from a friend and he just gave them to me , but i am buying a new set , Greddy pro rotary , they are suppose to be like around 30 bucks a pop , i am probably going to get them cheaper though , but we`ll see when they get here
i bought two heat ranges , 10 and 11
i will test both and post results here

CBR will that plastic ring affect anything ?
i didnt notice anything with the engine it seems to run fine

Ok , here we go , been a while sinds i posted here
had a baby born so , time is kind of a luxury these days
Anyways , finally got the 4 " exhaust in
as you can see here

here you can see i also used a can (muffler) as a resonator to lower some of the in-cabin noise

car feels great with the new exhaust , i can actually feel a power gain with this
also for the first time i have set my wastegate to dump into atmosphere
sounds beastly when it opens

here is a view of the engine bay , you can see the larger 4 inch down pipe

closer look

car feels great now , but i still need to get all that suspension stuff worked out
i am getting a superpro kit from rishie (autornd) that clunking noise is making me crazy

also when checking today i noticed my waterpump started to leak , cant get mad , i think its about the only thing i havent changed in the engine bay , damn thing is 15 years old so , i guess it went the distance
putting a new one in this week

also if anyone cares to see , my interior ....man i need a new driver seat

i know i need a new reciever unit fast

next step would fixing that pump and installing all the new bushings then its time to hit the dyno again
last time things got squirrly and car nearly fell of the dyno , but i am confident this time it will be better strapped
With that nasty misfiring i had i made 405@9 psi , i am looking to bump it up to 15 psi to see what happens , fuel and engine should be good to 20~25 psi , but i am thinking i will keep it around 15 , dont know what to expect , i would like to see anywhere between 500~600 , kind of a strech , but i still havent touched anything on timing and the new exhaust seems to have freed up some ponies as well

Update
Been quite a while since i posted in this thread , i had some issues with my fuel rails , which snowballed into getting new rails and injectors , and i finally fixed my A/C , ( i never new A/C could be such a pain in the ***)
at any rate , the car dyno`d 551WHP @ 14 psi , i am happy with this as it seems to try and kill me or blow up transmission any chance it gets .
now i just need more time to drive it !!, since its "done" it has been sitting for almost a month now , no time to touch it , too damn busy all the time
